Finding Public Domain Images on Wikipedia and Flickr I’ve been finding a lot of terrific Public Domain images lately on Wikipedia.org. Not all images there are in the Public Domain…some are licensed CC or GNU…but quite a few images have been release into the Public Domain by the copyright holder.

Jul 12, 2017 · The UCLA Library’s list of image resources includes several public domain image sources, as well as sites for finding free-t0-use image collections and Creative Commons images. Wikipedia has a long list of public domain image search sites, including many government sites.
Feb 13, 2017 · Images uploaded from Flickr under the Public Domain Mark 1.0 needs to be tagged with the template {{Flickr-public domain mark}} (substituted as it currently is coded) given that we have no idea why it is under Public Domain. This PD Mark is not a license, nor can someone release something under it.
